I have built my share of things, but this thing was a challenge. Just looking at it one would not think this thing has enough complexity to be an issue, but that's wrong. First I had no way to fit all the cables that came out the back of the radio into this enclosure. The size may be right, but the mess of cables was not accounted for. So as a solution I had to cut parts of the back open. Since the unit is installed in a sailboat interior, and the radio is also water resistant this surgery didn't matter. But then comes the blue rubber gasket. I have not managed to find a way to fit it into place and to attach the front piece successfully with the gasket staying in place. There simply isn't a way to do this with only two hands. In fact even a four handed individual would likely face a challenge. In the end I tossed the gasket aside and assembled the thing without. It does what I need it to do, but I can't see this ad water resistance to anything.
